The Problem:
California is one of the largest agricultural states in the country. Every day, millions of cows, pigs, chickens, and other farm animals are raised, transported, and slaughtered for meat, dairy, and egg production. These animals need to be protected from cruelty, too. Cruel animal agricultural practices are illegal in the State of California – yet farm animals are not being protected from abuse, because most state law enforcement agencies do not have the time, personnel, or resources to make farm animal protection a priority.
California needs a humane enforcement corporation devoted to protecting farm animals – or millions of cows, pigs, chickens, and other farm animals will continue to suffer.
The Solution:
ACI makes farm animal protection its priority and provides needed humane protection for farm animals under the law – especially in areas where humane enforcement is minimal, or non-existent, for animals raised for food production.
Working with Animal Acres (a Los Angeles farm animal sanctuary), other animal protection organizations, and law enforcement agencies, ACI works to protect farm animals through cruelty investigations, humane enforcement efforts, and the seizure of abused and neglected farm animals.
Cruelty Investigations
ACI sends investigators to California stockyards, livestock auctions, factory farms, and slaughterhouses to investigate the treatment of farm animals, document animal cruelties, and help prosecute farm animal abusers.
Humane Enforcement
ACI is a registered society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, with the authority to appoint humane officers to enforce California’s anti-cruelty laws and gain needed humane protection for farm animals. All actions of ACI are taken in accordance with the law, and ACI makes every effort to work in coordination and cooperation with law enforcement in all its endeavors.
Farm Animal Rescue
Humane Officers appointed by ACI have the authority to seize abused and neglected animals. ACI works to gain legal custody of suffering farm animals to place them into sanctuaries and safe adoptive homes.

“The way animals are treated to produce meat, milk, and eggs needs to be investigated, exposed, and stopped. I’m pleased to be a supporter of ANIMAL CRUELTY INVESTIGATIONS. ACI investigators go to animal “crime scenes” – our nation’s stockyards, factory farms, and slaughterhouses. Documenting what most of us don’t want to see, their undercover video footage and evidence of blatant animal cruelty is helping gain needed humane protection for cows, pigs, and chickens, too.”
